Last week when Jane was so sick, Tom was out of town. My friend offered to stay with me so if I needed to run to the hospital in the middle of the night, she would be there. She also offered to put my girls hair in "rag curls" so it would be darling for school the next morning......
(yes, Emma does sleep in a sleeping mask every night!)
Something must have been in the water, because these curls were not darling . . . not even close! 
Needless to say, the girls slicked their hair back into tight ponytails for school that day! We had a project combing all of those knots out in the bathtub that night!

Too bad it wasn't crazy hair day at school! My mom did our hair in rags one time, but she actually used rags to tie them, so I guess they weren't so tight. Wow.
OK, that's exactly what happens to Syd's hair, it's too fine!

i use to do these, and mine always turned out horrible too! i don't know how other people get them to turn out cute!
